When I was out and about with the Aussies first thing a light bulb came "on" in my head that I was to hook-up with my friend first thing this morning. Thank goodness I remembered. I suppose I should get better into the habit of marking such things on the calendar more then I do, but then it would be another challenge for me to remember to check the calender ... sheeeshhhh.
When I did meet up at my friend's place of business, we did what we had planned on doing on the computer and enjoyed a little chitchat in-between. There is always time for a bit of chit-chat with a friend, is there not?
What a surprise when cruising about Wiarton, then passing by Bluewater Park but to come across such a sight .....
"Looking pretty good "Crabby Cabbie" with the lovely backdrop of Colpoy's Bay."
Now we just need to get ourselves some Clientele and we will really be looking good. Spread the Word Family and Friends !!! really which I know our friends here have already been doing.
Speaking of Support ....
"My "Crabby Cabbie" Rob would like to personally thank everyone who gave him a daily vote for the Intuit's Small Business Wish. Truly the support was more then appreciated."
I am pretty sure we did not win, as we never received an email today, however I still feel really good that it was not from "lack of trying". Always put your best foot forward, as nobody can ever fault you for doing that.
Rob had some business to attend to around home today, so he was pretty much here most of the day. This afternoon we made a trip over to Owen Sound to upgrade one of our Business Phones. You can not imagine my excitement when we drove past the Owen Sound Drive-in to find out ....
"It has re-opened for the Season !!! Whoopee ... I can't wait until we get to go on a Tuesday night. Not only can we go on a Tuesday night, as Rob is off work, it is also 1/2 price Tuesdays too."
Really is there anything quite as fun as a night out at the Drive-In? Even though I am sure there is, it is still one of my highlights of enjoyment to go. It is also a sure sign that Summer MUST be around the corner.
Late when we returned home from Owen Sound, it was quick season a couple of boneless chicken breasts and get into the oven, while cooking up Turnip to go along with them. A quick but good Dinner served up within a half hour. My kind of goodness.
Rob and I have been giving some thought to joining the Wiarton Chamber of Commerce. I have been invited to a Chamber meeting tomorrow meeting prior to us deciding if we will or not. I am pretty excited and looking forward to it, as I really love promoting our communities in Bruce County, with each town's Chamber really focusing on "branding" their own individual Community. I am pretty certain I will be interested in learning more from a Business prospective.
That is all she wrote, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".
The weather has been quite unusual for this time of year and cold but they say it will all be back to normal as of Wednesday at least here it will ! I haven't been to a drive in for oh 15 years as there are none left down here , when the cinemas became the in thing drive ins down here were extinct ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the expansion into Wiarton. Hope you are supported. I know how difficult it is to run a taxi in a small town. No one has been able to keep one going in Shelburne. However, I am sure lots of people will be wanting to take a ride with a "Crabby Cabby" (who isn't crabby at all).
ReplyDeleteOur nearest drive in is up for sale.. would have thought that being in a tourist area it would have been safe...I guess not.
ReplyDelete130 squats today..my thigh muscles are now rock hard.

I'm sorry you didn't win :( Hopefully, next time! It was 93 degrees here today, and I'm DYING....
ReplyDeleteWe use to LOVE going to the drive in!!What a fun night for you both
ReplyDeleteNext year again but A for effort. You should be the official brand ambassador for Bruce county!
