*Phew* Got That Dirty Job Out Of The Way

I was up early with Bandit, Lexus and Mercedes all looked after, two cups of Java into myself, when coming up the hallway with Mercedes there was something that dropped out of her mouth onto the floor with a "ping".  Here it was a quarter.  I proceeded to take my coffee cup back into the kitchen when I a little further up the hallway I came across a colourful piece of paper ....

"Only to find a half chewed $5 Bill.

When Rob did get up, I had asked him if he had dropped $5.00.  He said, "no, but there had been one in his pants pocket".  I suppose he didn't realize that little Missy Mercedes also "picks pockets"?  I can't leave my jacket on the back of the chair, or she is right into the pockets helping her self out to whatever might be in there.  She certainly is a "natural", I just have to teach her NOT to chew the money from Rob's pockets, but to hand it over to me !  LOL

Once I got the Money Puppy settled in, I got on to doing the dirty dirty deed of .....

".... the dreaded job of "bookkeeping".  I would much prefer spending time on my computer doing a little bit of networking then sitting in front of a bunch of paperwork.  Trust me after  quite a few years of working in Insurance Brokers & an Insurance Adjuster's office, I have done my share of "paperwork" and then some !"

I had other "Crabby Cabbie" business to sort out as well, since I had been putting it all on the back burner for the past couple of week, partly due to the books being with the Accountant, not all just me, you know?  LOL  Finally it was all said and done with when I looked up at the clock thinking it was only just after the noon hour, then realizing in all actuality it was after 1 PM !!

Oh crap !  I hadn't even thought about dinner!!!  Thank goodness for Big Batch cooking and freezing, cause it wasn't long til I had a hot meal on the table.

"Homemade Spaghetti Sauce and Pasta was the "save" of the day."

"While we were waiting for the sauce to be heated and the pasta cooked, there was a little bit of shenanigans going on between Rob and Mercedes.  I wonder who was really the biggest instigator here?"

"Regardless, Mercedes was "smiling" the whole time it was going on ... lol."

Before Rob put his "Crabby Cabbie" hat, taking leave for the day, I managed to get him to put the trim back on the #2 spare bedroom window, along with getting the new curtain rods I had bought hung.

"Finally, just a couple of pictures and a swag lamp to be hung, and I will be able to say "Finally, it is done!".  I still need to pick up a couple of pieces of lace to weave in the lace curtains for tiebacks."

With my Crabby Cabbie out the door, I took off myself to do a couple of errands downtown, then met up with my friend, Sharon, for a walk.  By the way, too many of the serial numbers had been chewed off on the $5 bill, so I left it at the bank for the garbage.

"On passing by Gateway Haven, Sharon and I  stopped to admire their community raised gardens.  Very nice, we thought."

It turned out to be a beautiful day this afternoon, after another very cold and frosty morning had passed.

I must give an update on a very extremely pregnant Lexus.

"For anyone who wouldn't know, this is our "Checkerboard Aussie" girl, Lexus."

With her "due" date only being a couple days off on the 22nd of April, on inspection I can report she is now "bagging" up, with the due date going to be pretty exact, or at least close to.  Let's hope I am not wrong, as us Mothers know how "not nice" it is for these things to drag on long past the anticipated due date, now don't we?

Today I had also received a phone call inquiring to the Services of Bandit.

I had to decline and pass them on to someone else, as their female was a Merle, as Bandit is, with them not knowing you are NOT to breed a Merle to a Merle, as the genetics of such a breeding can cause some pretty poor health issues.  This is why it is so important for people who breed animals do some important research on such things before undertaking breeding their animal(s).  Alas, this is not always the way of the World, now is it?

Once again it is going on to the hour of 8 PM here, with the dishes from Dinner needing put away, a load of laundry to be folded and also put away, and three "Checkerboard Aussies" needing some more of my attention before I call it a night here, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".

  2. Bookkeeping terrifies me! I like to keep budgets on a computer but my paper drawer desperately needs some help. And those community garden beds look awesome! We don't have anything like this here. By the way, I rewarded you the Sunshine reward on my blog :)
