What was my Rob doing up at this time of the morning, you might ask? He was working the day shift ! and that meant I had a whole "normal" day for me !!! YAY !!! Happy, happy, happy !
I got right to it, of course, after I first called my sister, Donna, to "sing" Happy Birthday to her ! Let the "pack" in and out, feed and water them .... then little Missy Mercedes went into her crate and I got going on doing the floors. *Phew*
"I thought I would take a photo of them so I could look back at it to see it really had been done, as I am sure it won't be long until one little girl has them all "mucked" up again!"
I also got everything out of the spare bedroom I had decluttered back in February, which had been loaded with stuff from when we were re-doing spare bedroom # 2.
"Dusted, vacuumed and all back to "normal" once again."
I got held up for a little bit this morning, as I found myself in a predicament I really didn't want to deal with .....
".... in the form of an ugly hairy black spider on one of our dining room chairs. OMG, it was "awful", as I actually thought it was going to jump on me. I just so happened to be on the phone with Rob at the same time I spotted this ugly thing, who was having a great time laughing at my demise. I did end up getting a napkin, scooping it up quickly, throwing it into the woodstove, then lighting some newpaper in there to make sure I "got it". Ewww .... spiders make my skin crawl, as do earwigs, and other creepy crawly things."
A load of laundry also got washed today, then I thought I best be making myself a little lunch. Notice I did say, "lunch" not "dinner" ??? YAY .... "normal", like it used to be .... how long ago ???
"My lunch consisted of a couple scrambled "farm fresh" eggs that we had bought Saturday when we had dropped into Dejong Acres Farm. They sell all kinds of great stuff at their Farm Store. Just "click" on the "highlight" and check it out yourself ! Notice the lovely "rich" colour of the Yolk? Nice !"
After lunch, I did a bit more tidying up, attended to all three of the pack's needs, then decided since it was such a lovely warm 70*C day (other then the high winds), I would hook-up with my friend, Sharon, and go for a walk.
"I can imagine what a beautiful sight the people who live up on top of that hill yonder in this photo have looking over the Bay? It also won't be long until the boats will be back in their slips either."
"We passed by another new "Wiarton Willie" addition in the park."
It was a perfect day for a walk, with both myself and Sharon enjoying the walk and each other's company. Nice.
Once back home, I had a much needed coffee, as I finally was starting to feel a little on the weary side, but before doing that I needed to look after Bandit, Lexus and Mercedes' needs first.
"Can't a guy get a little privacy around this place???"
"The Butterflies are back."
As I have a "spider" phobia, my friend Carol, has a "frog" phobia, so Carol please scroll quickly past the next photo will you? So sorry dear friend, I don't mean to be the cause of your hebbie jebbies. And Carla, at My 1/2 Dozen Daily, you should be "okay" as it is not a snake. John Gray, at Going Gently, so sorry about the spider photo, but it was me who had to deal with it ! And then there is my friend, John D. over at Tok Tok Place, who not even a couple of weeks ago goes posting Spiders ! Oh man ....thank goodness I am not alone, as Debby over at Nanny's Place, doesn't do "bugs" either !!! and Gill, The British Woman, only has to deal with shooing coyotes off of her property ... what is the big deal about that? LOL.
"I have no idea how this little guy got into our basement, but I will say, it was a little bit of a challenge for me to get him back out."
Before I knew it, it was almost time for my "Crabby Cabbie" to arrive home, so I had to get our "supper" going. Supper was no big deal tonight, as I just heated up leftover Leek & Ham Shepherd's Pie and cooked up some beets for a side dish. Yummy ! as I do LOVE beets.
We never did get our supper over and done with until almost 8 pm. Rob still had to go get the Winter tires off his "Crabby Cabbie" vehicle and I still had to do my blog post. Well that didn't happen, as the phone rang while Rob was out doing his thing, while I dealt with another "business" call, which took me almost to the hour of 9 PM. *Sigh* and I still have supper dishes that need done up ... does it ever end? Don't anyone answer that, as I know it doesn't .... lol, but I can still keep "dreaming" can I not? Pisces are Dreamers you know?
Don't forget to leave me a comment or send me off an email letting me know what you thought the "Best" photo was from the Kemble Maple Syrup Tour, Rob and I went on this past Saturday, HERE. As I will send the one with the most votes into the Photo Contest. Thank you !
Carla is having a Fundraiser Give Away (handmade I might add) over at her place, to find out more about this you just need to go HERE, (remember, "clicking" on the highlighted words takes you to that link):
I am off and running, once again, hopefully towards my nice comfy bed, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".
Hmmmm! Rhonda has a nasty sore on the side of her face - we think it was from an insect bite, possibly some form of venomous genus of spiders known for their necrotic bite.
ReplyDeleteNo! She wont let me photograph it! She is taking prednisalone and oral antibiotics for it.
yeah I agree those spiders can be nasty creatures!
ReplyDeleteYUCK on the spider, he deserved to be cooking in the wood stove. I found a lizard upstairs a few weeks ago. Much like your frog, how the heck did that happen???
ReplyDeleteAdd me to the frog/toad phobia list. I hate them, rather deal with a spider or a coyote any day!!!
ReplyDeleteSo thanks to you I has got "goosies" on my arms and legs thinking about that bloody frog/toad!! LOL
