Sunshine & North Wind Day It Was

What a beautiful day it turned out to be !  When I first headed out to the VON SMART exercise group just after 9:00 am this morning, I had sworn it had been warmer when I had the "pack" out much earlier.  However the Sun was out in full force making it a cool day with its North winds, but an otherwise most pleasant one.

After exercise I stopped in to have a coffee at Timmies with some of the girls, with another stop at the grocery store before I had returned back home at 1:00.  With it being so late, I took from my freezer reserves, with it being a Chili Dinner today.  Thank goodness for "big batch" cooking on days like today.  I really must get another "Big Batch Chicken Soup" made up some day soon, as well as some more Chili, as I am pretty sure there is only one container remaining in the freezer.

Rob and I sure enjoyed the Homemade Chili today, as we hadn't had a good bowl of it for sometime.  I also remembered to take out the Turkey when I got home too !!!

"It is only about 8 lbs., so perfect for just Rob and I with lots of leftovers.  Rob does love leftover Turkey, if nothing else, he does, he does .... "

I have had another afternoon of feeling sheer exhaustion.  Instead of feeding into it, I picked myself up along with our Preggo Mama, Lexus, and got the two of us out for a walk this afternoon ....

"Down to Wiarton's Bluewater Park we went, along the boardwalk."

"Stopping for my "Pretty Girl" to have a drink from Colpoy's Bay before we went up through the main street of Wiarton, and back around to where I had parked."

"Past the Wiarton Baptist Church, where we can always be guaranteed a photo of ourselves together.

"We even stopped by the Explore the Bruce offices.  They appeared to be in the Easter Bunny Spirit, with a bit of old vintage style Easter decor."

Even though I am still exhausted, I think the walk and fresh air did Lexus and I both good.  For the amount of times my "Pretty Girl" had to make stops, I am sure the pressure of those puppies have been making her a bit uncomfortable at times.

Lots going on around and about Bruce County this upcoming Easter Weekend.

For example there is the Open House at Dejong Farms, which I had posted on yesterday's blog, going on tomorrow, with the Annual Purple Valley Maple Syrup Festival happening as well on the Saturday.  More information on both events at the following links:

There always is something going on sometime or somewhere in Bruce County at any given time ..... I LOVE living my life in "Bruce County" !

I have people coming tomorrow to look at our Bandit and Lexus, as they might be interested in one of our "Checkerboard Aussie" pups when they arrive in a couple of week.  I am getting more excited as the "due date" of April 22nd gets closer and closer with each passing day !!!  What colours?  How many males?  How many females?  It isn't like I am going to take Lexus in to have an ultrasound to find all this out, as all the fun is in the anticipation, is it not?  LOL

I think I am going to wrap things up here and go see what I can rustle up in the kitchen in the way of some supper for myself, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".

  1. The girl looks good and I love the Bluewater park and Boardwalk images!

  2. Beautiful walk! I wish we would live somewhere as beautiful. I walked about half a mile yesterday in the neighborhood. It's nothing close but I really enjoyed some fresh air and blooming trees.

  3. What a pretty place to take a walk!! Your prego girl is so stately looking, I am sure her pups will be perfect. I too love pulling a pre cooked meal from the freezer, I call them my carry out meals.

How nice of you to drop around to have a wee visit with me to see what I have been up to from time to time. I look forward to your comments as they add much brightness to my each and every day to know there are such wonderful people out there.
