It has been a very long day again today, as I was awake most of last evening not feeling very well with an upset stomach. Of course these things have a way of happening to a person when it is the last thing they want to happen to them.
Dang, dang and triple dang that Murphy all to heck and back !
"Bandit was very reluctant to leave Rob's bedside this morning."
"I obviously wasn't the only early riser this morning."
"Another morning with a heavy frost and the dew rising with the break of day."
Once all the "pack", which would be all four now, had been in, out and taken care of first thing, I needed to attend to a few things around the house which had to be done today. First off I put together an announcement for the Masterson Family Reunion 2012, as if I didn't get to it first thing, I was afraid I would not have gotten around to it.
"Chicken legs I had purchased the other day needed separated and package for the freezer. Not too shabby of a deal .... all this for $9.00."
"Some "Crabby Cabbie" business needed attended to. It is very time consuming checking things out over phone calls some times."
"Papers needed changing on and off throughout the day for the "Spectacular Six". I would say they are learning "paper training" pretty quickly considering as soon as I placed fresh down the were all there "lickety split" squatting all over the newly laid papers !"
"Brewsky "Bruno" seemed to be settling in not too badly with having himself a bit of breakfast."
"Then a bit of outdoor fun."
"We had to settle down for a bit, while Rob put him into a "head lock" so we could remove some matting behind each ear. Seems to be the most popular place for matting to occur, as I had just removed some from behind Lexus' ears untangling a burr a couple of weeks ago."
"Rob busied himself with getting our custom made fifth wheel van/trailer ready to be delivered to its new home today."
We made another trip down to Southampton around the lunch hour, to come back home to find out the Ford Dealership in Owen Sound had called to say the "Crabby Cabbie's" vehicle recalls had been completed and we could go pick it up. *Sigh* we loaded ourselves up again to head out on another 40 minute drive to retrieve it.
Rob managed to get the lawn cut in between all the running around we did again today, and I a load of laundry off the line and folded. We even had another trip North of the Checkerboard up to Lion's Head around 5:00 pm.
Finally Rob is just sitting down to a nice homemade bowl of soup I had heated up for him at the hour of 9:00 pm., as I sit here doing my daily post.
Everyone had a turn throughout the whole day going on one trip or another with us .... Bandit, Lexus and Brewsky Bruno, however poor dear Lexus had to remain behind with her "puppies".
"They all enjoy going for a ride in the Van."
I really find the running here and there gets rather tiring at times, with both Rob and I feeling somewhat ran ragged tired today, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".
Sounds like you had a busy day. I've just fuelled up two vehicles at the local servo (expecting a 10 cents/litre rise in fuel in the next day or so) took Denny to the river for his daily 'run', went to the nursery and hardware store and bought 3 x 60 litre bags of eucalyptus chip mulch, a 60 litre bag of pea straw mulch and 12 potted pansies to go into the front garden bed - which got a clean-up last Sunday.ReplyDelete
Gotta keep moving -
