The weather could not have been more perfect and this evening had been equally wonderful.
Part of the running I did today was to stop into ...
The Community Centre where Breakfast with Santa was going on today.
I had also had to drop into the Wiarton Home Building Centre where all the girls were looking rather cute & elfish today.
Quite of few trips into the Chamber Office downtown then over to the Berford Street Parkette to help/watch President Paul Deacon do a few turns around the Christmas Tree.
Today Rob was getting a new stainless steel liner put in our chimney so we can start using our wood stove in the basement again. It makes for a much warmer floor in the Winter months.
Poor Rob over did things today not much in favour of his back, having to take it easy later on at home, and then to try out Santa's Chair.
The Wiarton Santa Claus Parade had been totally amazing !!! There had to have been over 25 floats which were totally done up in the Spirit of this Year's Super Hero or Local Hero Theme. Fantastic community support.
... and the moment everyone was waiting for "SANTA CLAUS" !!!
After the line-up of Children getting photos and candy with Santa we finally got things wrapped up and arrived back home at 8:30 pm.
Both Rob & I are all in by for our shirt tails, Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard.
That's a very long, busy day for you!
ReplyDeleteIt occurs to me I've never seen a Santa parade in the evening.
So many of the good things in our small communities depend on volunteers. Good for you for doing all that to make it happen.
