I truly hope everyone has had a wonderful Valentines Day with a special loved one, whether it be a spouse, family member, or a friend.
I was happy to have more energy today then I had yesterday. I still had a couple of moments today, but got pass them. I am regretting I had Dinner now as the stomach is experiencing pain. I suspect the Gall Stones are not being Happy Campers in my Gall Bladder at the moment. Good news is I should be hearing about an appointment with the Specialist by next week.
Sunday I have an appointment for a Cat Scan on my Sinuses, and hopefully it won't be long after I get to meet with the Headache Clinic people I have been referred to in Toronto. One step at a time.
I managed to get the foyer all vacuumed today, as well as the regular routine of a bit of dusting, vacuuming and making the bed. I also had to go out as I wanted to slip down to see my Mother, as I had a Valentine's Card for her.
Yes Mom enjoyed, I think, opening her card and having a bit of visit with me. It was a short one so I will have to get back in next week for a little longer time. Maybe I will take Bandit along for a visit with me. I had Mom wave so I could send our Paul her photo through a text (I LOVE technology, or this part of it anyway).
It is been kind of a melancholy week with the passing of Shirley Temple, and now Ralph Waite of The Waltons. Who didn't watch the Waltons, or Little House on the Prairie, or Bewitched, or I Dream of Jeannie, or My Favourite Martian, or .... I could go on and on, could I not?
For those who might have missed the write-up on Ralph Waite, you may read it HERE.
If not much else got done today, I did do 30 minutes on the Treadmill, and hope to do another 10 minutes this evening if my tummy ever settles down somewhat.
A couple of my friends and I though we would begin a Coffee Chat 24-7 Group on Facebook, which is all about ....
Come along in to enjoy some Old Fashioned "coffee shop" chat about what is going on in your "neck of the woods" or elsewhere, without even leaving the comfort of your own home.
Please note, chats are NOT to include Politics or Religion, nor promoting of Businesses. Chats may include support for Community Events & Non-Profit Organization Events.
Please respect that we each have our own opinions. Any disrespect for another group member, or any profanities used will result in immediate removal from the group, at the Administrator's discretion.
It would be nice to have people join in from all over the World ! or so I think it would, so should you have a Facebook Account, and would enjoy some "Coffee Chat", please do drop-in at the following link HERE.
Tomorrow I have been invited out to a Church Chili Luncheon along with my Auntie Gladys. I have also invited my neighbour and friend, Pari, to go along with me. Rob and the Aussies will just have to hold down the fort tomorrow.
Something pretty exciting is happening in Wiarton next Month. The 2nd Annual Job Fair !!! Check it out:
I was not on the Chamber Board of Directors last Year, however I heard the first one was a great success, so I am truly hoping this one will be equally successful. Should you be local and have a Company, please contact the Wiarton Chamber of Commerce to get on board by calling 519-534-4545.
I am 7 weeks into the 52 Week Money Challenge. How is everyone else doing that came "on board" with me in the challenge? still with me? I am already thinking on what we will do with the money at the end of this Year already .... are you ?
Rob and I decided we did not want to spend the money to go out to have a Valentine's Day meal at a restaurant, so I made him his favourite of Homemade Hamburger Helper. Out of a box or homemade, I still say "yech", but I try do my hardest to please the love of my life. Love you ROB !!! xoxxo
Rob is off on a call, and I am thinking I am not going to be able to manage another 10 minutes on the treadmill tonight the way my tummy is feeling. There is always tomorrow, Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard.
So glad to hear you have some appointments lined up:) Enjoy your luncheon tomorrow and Happy Valentine's Day~ Lynn
ReplyDeleteI am still plugging along with the 52 week challenge. Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteI heard about Ralph Waite's death. The Waltons was long before my time, but I liked him in the Stallone flick Cliffhanger.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day Cindy. I was out with a group of friends for lunch and so Barry went over and had lunch with my mother. What a sweet son-in-law. Fridays seem to come very quickly when one uses that day to pay the 52 week challenge. They are coming twice as fast since I am paying for both of us this year. However, I have a special goal so I will be happy next December. Hope the tummy tames so you can enjoy the chili. Alice
ReplyDeleteOh your Mom looks happy:) Oh I do hope you get that all figured out and feel better very soon. I know you had a nice Valentines since it is over now:) Take care. Hug B
ReplyDeleteI have an MRI coming up soon for my spine to check all is okay given the amount of pain I'm experiencing, so we can compare scanning notes! Let's hope the CAT brings you some good news or at least something that will help them sort out your pain. Happy V day to you too! x
