Birds of the Feather.....Birds of Song....Bring Them All On !

The day didn`t turn out too bad yesterday, weather wise or other wise, after all....Rob and I actually got to spend some of the day together by going downtown to get some plants and potting soil.  Rob is great help to me at times like this, as I pick out the ``stuff``. he ``loads`` it in our vehicle.  A marriage ``made in Heaven``.....LOL, some days......

Downtown Wiarton is a busy little town most days.....here is a little bit of around and about Wiarton, provided by Explore the Bruce:

Rob and I only live three kilometres North of Wiarton, so not too far of a drive into town for us to go, should we need something at one of the local stores.

Our three ``boys`` arrived safe and sound just before 7:00 PM.  Needless to say, they were all ravishing and happy supper was all ready to be had.  Everyone was pleased with the Slow Cooker Pantry Chicken Stew, except for  Paul picking out the mushrooms, steamed asparagus, boiled potatoes, coleslaw, sliced tomatoes, fresh cut french bread, and then Chocolate-Walnut Banana bread for dessert.

It is about one of the best loaves I have ever had. It yields a `large` loaf pan.

Since supper was so late, it was almost bedtime immediately after cleanup.  It is still nicer to have the `boys`arrive on a Friday evening instead of lunchtime on a Saturday.  Gives us all more time together, rather then the feeling that they are leaving not long after their arrival....which is the usual when they leave Sunday morning.

I have been enjoying the colour and variety of birds at our feeder located on the deck just off our diningroom.  There has been yellow finches, red-breasted grosbeaks, morning doves and sparrows that I have noticed to date.

Oops, Ike snuck in there with a double daffodil.....lol, way to get in on the ``picture`` Ike.

I best be checking in with the Wiarton Airport for the local forecast to see if it is going to be an indoor movie day or an outside play day with the boys.

Today:

Cloudy with 60 percent chance of showers and risk of a thunderstorm. Wind becoming northeast 20 km/h late this afternoon. High 15. UV index 3 or moderate.

Tonight:

Cloudy with 60 percent chance of showers. Wind northeast 30 km/h. Low plus 5.

After reading this forecast and looking at the skies outside, I am leaning toward the fact it will be an inside movie and play Wii Mariokart day.

Already this morning there has been many, many distractions whilst attempting to get today`s `blog` finished, not only from the two ``little`` guys, but also from the two ``big`` guys.   I think I will end it now and get on with what I am sure is going to be a very busy day ahead, ``Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard``.
