A Much Better Day !

I awoke with another headache nagging to come forth, however I "nipped" it in the bud before it had a chance by hitting back a T-2 and 600mg of Ibuprofen as quick as I could.  Another dose of the same around the noon hour seemed to do the trick for the remainder of the day ..... thank goodness, as who in the "heck" needs a pain in the head, when they already have a pain in the neck and a pain in the arse at their disposal !  Sorry honey, really the latter was not meant to be directed towards you .... honest *smile*

Poor Rob had to get up and going, adorning his "Crabby Cabbie" hat to head out the door before 8:00 am this fine morning.  No worries, as I was heating up a Dinner for him to take along.

"I was up before 6:00 am, and had Homemade Big Batch Chicken Soup heating up so my dear "Crabby Cabbie" would have something good and hot to eat today (hopefully at some point in his day)."

It was pretty much a humdrum day with a little bit of laundry to do and hang out, as it really was a pretty nice day out there, even though the wind had been out of the East most of the day.  Then the usual, do the dishes, make the bed, answer a few emails, and in and out with those "Checkerboard Aussies".

....but then we got some company come, as it was time for Bandit, Lexus and I to "show-off" the "Checkerboard Aussie's" "Spectacular Six" !!!

"First off, we all had to put on our very best smiles."

"Then make sure everyone was piled up together nice and neatly."

"Then a couple of really nice gals came along and made a big "fuss" over all of us; how cool was that?  The one even threw a ball for us!"

"Then a couple of us even got really long cuddles and hugs."

After quite a while, the nice girls had to leave, but not before .....

"They chose this little Blue Merle guy to be their "Forever Checkerboard Aussie"."

The "Spectacular Six" are now the "Fabulous Five".

We had another couple come later this afternoon, however they were not as nice as the gals had been.  These people didn't have enough sense to know how wonderful it would be to have their very own "Checkerboard Aussie", so they left without further "ado".  LOL, that will teach em' !

Now we all know where we stand with who, it was time to put out there for the World to see, what "Checkerboard Aussie" puppies are all about and what is available.  We had to do a photo shoot first:

"One handsome robust Red Tri Male."

"One pretty handsome Black Tri Male Dude."

"And who could resist this little Black Tri Male with the most amazing markings on him?"

We of course had to tell people what we are all about, so this we did too ....

The "Checkerboard Aussies" are pleased to announce their 2012 Litter arrived on the 18th of April.  Sire:  Blue Merle & Dam:  Red-Tri, as shown in photos.  We are located 4 minutes North of Wiarton, only an approx. scenic 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive from the Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo & London areas.

Now we have everything prepared, in order and out there, we just sit back and handle it all as the emails and/or calls come flooding in (I hope, LOL).

Foremost on my mind, is a person(s) and/or families who will provide one of our "Checkerboard Aussies" with a wonderful Forever Home, who realize the time needed put into a puppy, which will bring forth a faithful companion, who will complete their lives for many years, giving them constant unconditional love in return.

All this goings on about "Checkerboard Aussies", I have one giving me the "would you please stop what you are doing and take me out look" on her face right now .... my days truly begin and end everyday with our "Checkerboard Aussies", "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".

Beyond A Pain In The Neck !

"While I was wrapping up last night's Blog Post, Mercedes was napping a bit before bedtime."

"Trust me she was sound asleep, with her one eye open and rolling around.  LOL, is this where the saying, "sleeping with one eye on you" came from?  Eerie."

Here it is Friday.  Wednesday night I went to bed with a headache, awaking with one Thursday morning, only to go back to bed last night with the same headache, to once again arise this morning with the same headache.

"It was so bad this morning, I couldn't even hold my bathroom glass in my hand, with it falling out and shattering all over.  Not a good start to my day."

"It being Friday, I headed North of the Checkerboard to the Doctor's for my weekly shot in the arm.  Again it was another foggy morn."

Today was also the day I was to take up the VON SMART exercise program "Strength & Flexibility" modules I had missed last Fall, since I had been at the Hospital with a Migraine headache at that time.  I had thought by taking two Tylenol 2 before I left home, thinking this would solve the problem of a headache for the rest of this day, as I didn't want to miss it again ....

Once I had been to see my Doctor, I went onto the Course, which just happened to be around the corner from his office.

"VON SMART Coordinators, Dorothy Embacher (SMART GURU) and Jessica Doerr."

"Here we are, all the new VON SMART Instructor hopefuls, going through the course materials under Dorothy and Jessica's direction.  A fantastic group of ladies, I might add."

"Now we are going to put some of the book material into action."

"Dorothy instructing, as well as demonstrating herself on this exercise."

The Course material for this Module took pretty much the full day, running from 9 am until 2:30 pm, with a break for lunch.  All considering, I thought it had gone all pretty smooth and quick.

Unfortunately I had to suffer through most of the afternoon, as the Migraine had really taken hold of me.  Once on my way home, I had a very difficult time driving.  I arrived home just before Rob had to put his "Crabby Cabbie" hat on and leave.  He had looked after all the "pack" for me, so I took some more meds and went straight to bed.

After two hours in bed, little Missy Mercedes needed my attention, so up I got.

I had been asked if I could send some photos along of the little Red Merle girl via email today.  After having everyone out and in, I decided to get these photos taken and sent along.

"A couple of "mug" shots for the lineup ... lol."

"Please, enough of the photos already, will ya?"

Oh man, it appears already the puppies are getting like the rest of my family members when it comes to my camera....what's up with that?  LOL

"Once I had set the little girl back down, it didn't take her long to motor right on over on the pile of her litter mates."

I am calling it a night, hoping the time goes quickly between the last time the "pack" needs in and out for the night, and the time it is for me to get into my bed.

This migraine is relentless regardless of how much medications I take, causing me to actually feel very sick to my stomach.  I am pretty much used to living with daily headaches, but not when it heightens to a full blown migraine lasting over two days.

I pray it leaves me by the time I arise tomorrow morning, as tomorrow I have lots to get done and people to see, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".
