More Of A Better Day Today

Really only 33 Days until Christmas ???  YIKES!!! will I be ready when it arrives?  I sure hope so as it certainly isn't going to wait for me now is it?  I still  have to get everything I have been buying the whole Year through from out of our bedroom closet to do a Gift Inventory pretty soon.  I also need to decide when and what I will be doing in the way of Christmas Baking.

Here I am going on about Christmas with our neighbours to the South of us celebrating their Thanksgiving today.

I am happy to report I finally had a good nights sleep last night with my headaches back to their "normal" dull roar instead of being escalated to heights one never wants them to be at EVER.  

I do not know what made me check back on what I had blogged about last Year, however I do this once in awhile.  Last Year on this day I had blogged about Fibromyalgia, "By Definition ~ The Silent Pain Behind The Smiles" , and since then I have many times I am sure as I believe the more awareness there is brought to something the more understanding can there be gained by it.

I actually was pretty good today by getting the living room dusted and vacuumed, tidying up the kitchen somewhat, doing a 1 Mile Workout with Leslie Sansone and leaving the Bedroom and Bathroom to be done until tomorrow.  Now that is reasonable and back to somewhat pacing myself again (for now).  

I am certain I had mentioned before that a few of us girls, members of Cindy's Recipe Exchange on Facebook, had wanted to exchange Christmas Cards with each other.  I was really happy to have received my first Christmas Card of 2012 today.  

"This beautiful Card arrived for me today from Neyaashiinigmiing, Ontario."

"I had wrote all my Cards and got them in the Mail this past Monday to all the Recipe Exchange gals so I wouldn't forget.  It also broke it up a bit for me to do them separate from the few I send to Family and longtime friends.  I also included a Recipe that I had made myself, along with a  Photo,  just to add a Personal Touch, as they are all such a wonderful fun bunch of people."

"I also received some more Happy Mail, as this Free Sample for Celestial "Sleepytime" Tea arrived with a little matching carrying Tin.  I will have to try it out some night soon to see if it really is "Sleepy Time" or not."

This afternoon I took it pretty easy by checking out a few recipes (what else) on Pinterest when I came across another very simple and lovely Christmas Gift idea.

"How simple does Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows in a Mason Jar with a side Jigger of Baileys Irish Cream get?  Not much simpler ... "

Just thought I would throw that out there for anyone who wants to give a little something to someone, but was stuck for an idea of what to give.  I would be happy if someone gave me such a thoughtful gift.

I also spent some time, but not too much, on my "Crabby Cabbie's" new Facebook page.  I really don't think he has even had time to look at his page yet as he has been busy working Saugeen Shores and Area to do so.  Are you on Facebook?  please drop on over and have a "LIKE" yourself on his page, if he doesn't know I will be sure to tell him you have ...  I Promise!

I also made time to work on the "Bruce County Small Businesses Reaching Out" group on Facebook.  This is a group I believe could be and will be beneficial to both Bruce County Small Businesses and the Consumer, with it being the "ONE STOP" group on Facebook to locate what is available in Bruce County.

In just the short few days we already have at least 23 Small Businesses listed, as well as 102 Members.  I believe the group is off to a great start with hopefully those numbers building daily with some "key members" putting out the Word along with everyone else !

I also had a bit of a "chuckle" to myself today when looking out the patio doors to check on our Buddy to see ....

"Would that be Froggie or Doggie's legs going on here ... hahahaha !  He is way to cute and relaxed that boy, soaking up all the Sunshine going on outside our doors today."

Guaranteed I am not having any part of Frog's Legs for a meal, never mind Dog's legs !!! but what I did have for my supper was pretty darn good, if I say so myself.

"As I had me some of my Homemade Spaghetti Sauce and Spaghetti for my Supper.  Yummy it was."

I have been hearing about a few people developing flues and colds the past couple of weeks, so I thought I would share yet another one of my finds from Pinterest for at least the Colds end of it.

I surely don't know about anyone else out there, but if I were to come down with a nasty Cold I would be certainly trying this method of a cure out.  Besides anything else, who doesn't LOVE honey and cinnamon? what would you have to loose?

With is having been "more of a better day today" for me, I am zipping right along here at a not too bad pace this evening, considering I have "paced" myself somewhat more then my normal.  It is only just going onto 7:00 pm, so I have lots of time to take my "Checkerboard Aussies" out for their evening out, round and about walk,  "fire" up the Woodstove, have myself a nice HOT bath and maybe watch myself a wee bit of something on TV tonight, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".

Those Roads Were HOT Today !

*Sigh*  I was running the whole day through it seemed up and down Hwy.6, then on down Hwy. 21, never mind all the roadways inbetween !  Those roads were HOT today from me running them so much.

First of it was "North of the Checkerboard" to the Good Doctors for the usual "shot in the arm".  A friend of mine had purchased a Toddler Sleigh bed from off the Swap up that way, so the girl she had purchased it from came down from Tobermory to pass it onto me, so I in turn could pass it on down to my friend, Sheree, in Southampton.  "Tag" you are IT !  Ha !

I got back home to do up a couple of things, take care of all the needs of the "Checkerboard Aussies" then hit the highway again down Hwy 6 to 21 over to Southampton.  I stayed a wee little bit at Sheree's when I delivered to her the "goods".  She had her hands full with lots of sweetness, as her twin 3 year old grands were there.  One girl and boy.  Way tooooooooo sweet they are.  This is why she had wanted this toddler bed.  She had one for her Grand Girl, but had needed this one for her Grand boy.

How sweet of Sheree too, as she gave me a Homemade Bar of Goats' Milk Peppermint Soap and some Body Works Soap.  Thanks Sheree !

I have been "itching" to take some photos of the Saugeen River myself, but never have time ... I took a few moments (not near as many as I had wanted to).

Then I went on to see my "Crabby Cabbie" so he could get our personal vehicle filled up with fuel for me.  Goodness knows I needed it the way I run those roads some days !

Finally I did get home around 1:30 pm to realize I had forgotten to get our prescriptions that had been filled at the Wiarton Drugstore.  *Sigh* downtown I go again ....

I could not help but notice the Store fronts were all paying respects to our Veterans by dressing up their windows to reflect same.

And yet another soon to be local Church Christmas Bazaar did not go unnoticed by my ever watchful eye ...

Regardless of how tired I was I decided to make a drop-in call on a couple of the Small Businesses to see if they would be interested in going along on the Bruce County Small Businesses Reaching Out Facebook Group.  The response was FANTASTIC !!!

Up the North Hill on my way back home, for the 3rd time today, I took the incentive to drop on in somewhere I had only been once before (it is only 2 shakes away from where we live I might add).  I stopped here with my two friends in mind, Debby at Nanny's Place and Cara at My 1/2 Dozen Daily, as I know how much they have a LOVE for places like these ...

Once my out and about adventures were over I did return home again late this afternoon.  By this time it had gotten quite cool.  I had to busy myself right away with getting the Wood Stove fired up ... brrr

I had been very excited last evening after I had wrapped up my blog post, as my Cousin Paul had emailed me:

YIKES !  Here is is dark outside again and I barely got anything accomplished around here today!  I am happy to report though my bed has been made as always and my dishes are all done up, but this does not account for the other dog needing swept up from the floors, or was that two I seen floating around?

Today was a very "special" day here at our home, as it was a day to celebrate MY Girl's 3rd Birthday !  and this we did with lots of outdoor fun for a good time this morning.

Is she not beautiful?  I do so LOVE my Lexus girl.  Happy 3rd Birthday Lexus .... xoxoxo.

I really hope you would not think I had ever forgotten you, HW?  Ha !  Wishing you the best tomorrow on your Birth Day !

This morning I had a "moment", figure of speech, as I could not see from my left eye as it felt like there was a film across it and I was seeing three layers barely out from it.

This was part and parcel of the beginning of a Migraine Aura.  It is a dreadful feeling one has when experiencing these Auras; they almost feel Surreal at times.  I sat myself down to try and relax myself for a bit, however after a half hour I gave in to the Migraine Meds.  I really hate taking them as they sometimes make me feel as ill as the migraine.  Finally after an hour it regressed quietly back into the depths of my head.

Once it had passed, with me feeling somewhat back to normal, I felt safe and steady enough to have a shower before I did some laundry.  It was somewhat of a puttering type of day, with a bit of this done and then a bit of that.  I cleaned out Buddy's kennel, raked a few leaves, did a bit of paperwork, made a couple of phone calls, tidied up here and there, washed the dishes up, and of course, made our bed.

Since it had been pretty cool outside first thing this morning, I was sure to keep the Wood Stove "stoked" up  until later when the afternoon Sun came in through the Southern windows.

"Just Yesterday I had cleaned the ashes from the stove and deposited the pail full of ashes out into the Garden."

Today I also spent working on the "new" (I know, another one, but I am sure I missed my Social Networking calling somewhere along the line) Facebook Group, "Bruce County Small Businesses Reaching Out".  What is this all about you might ask? well this is the little spiel I had put together about it:

This is pretty much what is all about almost in a "nut shell".  I encourage anyone who is 1) a Consumer or 2) is a Bruce County Small Business Owner, to come on over to "join forces" to make this group "happening" for Bruce County.

I am proud of my husband, Rob, who has been working hard at building an honest living from having a Small Business, as the "Crabby Cabbie".  These past few months, since he began on the 1st of May this Year, he has had his share of "ups and downs" (with more ahead at times, such is life), even finding people working against him who he had thought had been working along with him.  We sure can have our moments misjudging characters at times, especially when we try to always see the "good" in people.

Regardless I think this new "Bruce County Small Businesses Reaching Out" Facebook Group will be a great adventure, hopefully not only benefiting us but other Bruce County Small Businesses, as well as the Consumers, by both coming together in one place giving and gaining Services respectfully.

You really know you are tired when you go to make yourself a coffee before you sit down to blog your daily post and ....
