All Done Now

Today I had to travel back to Owen Sound for more testing.  This time it was another MRI on my liver.  Better safe then sorry, right?  I think so & I also think I am all done now with anymore testing for awhile.

My appt. was for 12:15.  I got there about 1/2 earlier and they took me on.  I had to get an IV put in as I was having dye put through.  Much easier then when I had the MRCP, as there had been no burning, nor feeling like I had to relieve myself.  I was back out of there at 1:10.  Good thing I had went in earlier.

Appointments smack right in the middle of your day doesn't afford to much getting done, or at least that is the way my day went.  All I managed to do before leaving for Owen Sound was some dishes, puppy clean up and feeding a couple of times, and out & in with the Adult Aussies.

Still there had been time throughout my day for some Aussie photos.

We are waiting for the day Portia slips off the chair.  Hope I have the camera handy when it does *smile*

Bandit was refusing to give me one of his famous *smiles* but he gave in eventually much to my pleasure.

This girl has absolutely no shame about her sprawling herself all over the house and enjoying every second.

Our Buddy boy head over paws happy to see Rob come home.

For some reason Google has been giving me much grief this evening, shutting down on me and whatnot ... it has take me over 3/4 hour to get this much posted, so on that note I shall be calling it a night, Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard.

Bad Days & Good Days

We all have bad days & good days.  We have to make the most of the bad days, as really what else can one do, and besides we are all human and entitled to one here and there, are we not?

My day didn't start out as a bad day, other then I can't seem to get over this heavy fatigue I have been feeling the past while.  So much for those energy pills I bought a few weeks ago.

Once again, I didn't manage to accomplish what I had set out to do.  It seems once I have left the house in the morning I am doomed for the rest of the day.  I have to take my hat off to Rob though as despite him being as tired as he was he still managed to cut all the lawns.  That is a huge job in itself.  Needless to say he was fortunate to have a much needed nap this afternoon.

Of course when it was time to set ourselves down to Corn on the Cob and BBQ'd Garlic Sausage the phone rang and out the door Rob had to go ... dinner had to keep until his return.  Murphy's Law hits again, especially since the phone had not rang all afternoon up until that point.

My neighbour and I did get out for a walk this evening, which really is a good thing since it has been awhile since we have done so.

The bad part was coming home and just sitting down to a cuppa tea when I realized one of my lap top cords had gone under the couch.  The really bad part was when I went to retrieve it by moving the couch I knocked my whole cup of tea flying.  The really really bad part of this day is not only is my neck giving me more grief then it usually does every day, but that I have a headache that goes along with it as well as more pain then I care to have in one sitting.  I was wanting that cuppa tea so bad, and too miserable to be bothered to get myself another after cleaning up that mess !

The Aussies had a much better day then I ....

This is Portia's "I am telling you I didn't do it" look, but then afterwards being caught red pawed in the act of yet another "no no" it being difficult her to deny this one.

Lexus & Portia had some fun while I took laundry off the line.  Afterwards Portia and Bandit just chillpawing together.

Out on our walk we got to go by Rusty's house for a meeting up, a kiss, a pat on the head, then a bit of rough housing.  Rusty is Buddy & Mercedes 1 year old offspring.

I am going to take out the Portia pup then call it a night as I have an extremely busy day ahead of me tomorrow, Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard.

All Day Rain Day

Once I finally was able to get to sleep last night I slept not too bad until 6 am, and Portia actually did until then as well ... YAY Portia with not barely a whimper til then.

Poor Rob had an older GPS in his vehicle last night which took him on a Wild Goose Chase wherein he ended up on a dark gravel road which was part of Winston Churchill Blvd.  He called me and I got up to google a map.  It wasn't too long before he was back on track, much to his relief, as he needed fuel being down to a quarter tank.  Needless to say when he finally landed back home he was even more relieved.

It was a crazy weather day here again with the torrents of rain coming down so hard you could barely see our bush line.  I was happy it hadn't been snow.  All day long, as most of Ontario I suspect, it had been a grey, wet, overcast day with rain on and off throughout the whole of it.  About 6:45 I think there was a small glimmer of brightness with maybe a strand of sunshine thrown in.

With the rain and the dampness comes pain and discomfort for me, and Rob too.  We were still both exhausted today.  Thank goodness Rob had an afternoon nap.  I drifted off for a couple of minutes sitting up on the couch, however thanks to Mr. Murphy's Law the phone ringing ruined that wee bit of shut eye for me.

Regardless if I get nothing else done, it is guaranteed I am on the run in and out more then before with the other three, as yes little Miss Portia is quite the piddler.  All owners of puppies should have shares with Bounty Paper Towels, "the quicker picker upper".

We have our hands full at some times throughout the day.  Bandit? he avoids her at all costs.  Truly though she is a pretty good and "normal" little puppy.

I think the best dog we had as a puppy with the Aussies was Mercedes.  She was very easy to house train.  Bandit was also very good when it had came to potty training.

You know what I am really really missing this Summer?  my fresh Beets & Beet tops out of the garden.  There was nothing like going out every day to pick fresh for Dinner.  Maybe next Year I will dig up a spot just for Beets.  Out of the whole veggie garden that is what I truly miss the most, and watching the Sunflowers grow.  Six Sunflower plants came up on their own so I will still be able to see that happen.

Dinner was most yummy again, as Rob picked up some Farm Fresh Corn on the Cob (again) from our neighbours, Solway's Farm Garden, and we had another good feed of that along with some oven baked fish.

My poor Rob has to go out again this evening til the wee hours of the morn, and hopefully I get a fitful sleep this evening, Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard.

Yesterday Gone & Today's Family Reunion

It has been a busy couple of days for both Rob and I, but then every day is usually busy one way or another for us.  Here it is with today almost gone with yesterday behind and today's Masterson Family Reunion now behind us again until next Year.

Rob and I had been over Meaford way to pick up our new Australian Shepherd Female Puppy, Portia, at 8 am.  She fit right in when we got her home like she was meant to be.

Our Paul, Liz, Josh, Chloe and Briar arrived in time for Dinner.  Aiden and Connor were not able to be with us this weekend, however we will have them the last week of August ... HOORAY !

After Dinner, after picking up our neighbour Pari, we headed on up to the Berford Lake Park for a bit.

The girls had fun, and Portia was getting LOTS of attention.

Paul & Josh through a line in the Lake.

The boys were not having any luck in the fishing department, so we thought we would head over to the Government Dock at Colpoy's Bay.

No fishing luck there either, however we had fun and Briar did with taking a few photos once she had figured out the camera.

Was the August Moon not spectacular last night ?  I absolutely loved it.

This morning we were all up very early as we were picking up my Mom from the Nursing Home at 10 am then heading down to the Masterson Family Reunion in Southampton.

Before we loaded up Portia and the girls in our vehicle, Josh had a little down time with Portia.

Not a really big turnout this Year, but just the same the company was wonderful & the food always excellent !

After the Pot Luck Lunch there were games for ALL ages, as Cousin Troy was enjoying the Bubbles, and new friends were also made.

Teams were made up and more fun was had by everyone who was game for water balloons.

It is always great to see everyone from one year to the next.  My father's family was a large family so there had been lots of first cousin growing up or getting together when they came back to Southampton to visit Grandma & Grandpa Masterson.

With Rob not getting in until 3:30 am, and back out at 6 am this morning, and I busy preparing and having family fun with the kids, we are pretty much both "done like dinner" right now.

Hopefully little Portia will sleep like she did last night from 9 pm til 6 am, and Rob and I will get a good night's rest this evening, Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard.
