Last night at The Painted Turtle & Balloon Headquarters with Owner, Wenda, teaching the boys "hammering" to make necklaces and wind chimes.  Only $8.00 per child, and amazing fun and learning for them.

Very last photo?  Aiden & Connor heading back from the shed with Wenda after investigating a very bad smell back there from something which possibly died .... ewwwww.

Today Rob took out the last old recliner (rest in peace) which served us many years of comfort, as well as to the Aussies.  It has been replaced with a new to us doggie leather chair purchased from the Sally Ann for a whooping $5.00 today.

It has been a long day and I had also had a chamber meeting this evening at 6:30 pm.  I am all in but for my shirt day, Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard.

They Are Here !!!

YES ! they are here !!!! and I could not be happier that they are here.  We were happy to have met up with their "other" grandparents, Chris & Sharon, for lunch today at the Redwood Restaurant in Clifford, which was 1/2 way for us.

Yep 2 tired boys, who each did very well and ate all their lunches, along with their Beer, Dad's Root Beer that is.  I had an amazing salad topped with grilled chicken breast.

We had a bit of surprise for the boys on our way home.  They did have a wee nap on the way there before getting their second wind of the day.

We stopped over at a farm out by Holyrood where they seen sheep, how eggs were incubated, baby chickens, quails, turkeys, a sweet little doggie, and .....

... ducks.  Rob had ordered 6 ducks, however we ended up going home with 7 ducks since Connor picked out one very little duck for himself.  His duck has been named, "Frankie".

On the way home we seen more Birds of the Feather, this time it had been Sandhill Cranes way out in a field.

One more stop where Poppa had to show the boys his first "set of wheels" over at Bedrock Shouldice.

We arrived home late afternoon wherein Aiden got into the Lego Building, and Connor helped Poppa get some "digs" together for the ducks.

The boys and I are going to sleep out in the Gazebo on its floor tonight.  Hope I sleep as I am very tired with lots happening again here tomorrow, Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard.

Excitement Or ????

My day was not started with too much excitement as it began at the Emergency Dept. of the Wiarton Hospital to get the testing completed and x-rays on my chest cavity.

In by 9 am and out by 11 am.  And truly? I appreciate we have such a fantastic Health System in Canada, even though I was very tired waiting for results.

Facebook was humming like crazy this morning !!!  Apparently a restaurant, downtown Wiarton, was being boycotted by lots of Mamas with their babies today, as a Mama breastfeeding in Public had been offended.

I happened downtown today, and got a couple of candid shots ...

Oh MY, who could be upset at one of these little darlings being fed in Public? not I.

More on all this excitement or ???? can be found by *clicking* your mouse HERE.

My opinion on all of this?  I believe it would be best to keep it to myself, however Breast Feeding in public, or anywhere for that matter, is NOT breaking the law.  That you can read all about by *clicking* your mouse HERE.

Whoohooo! the weather and our business gave way finally to time for Rob to be able to apply Deck Over to our front stoop.  Now it has not only been freshened up in looks, it is not going to be slippery when wet.

While Rob got that done, I managed to get 2 loads of laundry washed and hung out on the line, as well as the bed striped and remade up fresh.  It had been a beautiful day.

My girlfriend's Mom sold her house, so Shannon came up to give her a hand sorting and packing.  Her oldest son, Brad, also came along to help.  While visiting them late this afternoon Brad came across a baby Stick Bug.

Yes you could tell it was a wee baby in the photos.  Green in colour, however appearing white when on the Fuchsia petunia.

I did also manage to get a couple of plants potted today.

Shannon's Mom also loves Roosters and gifted me this guy ... I am happy happy happy ! thanks Joanne.

Rob & I also got the Solar gazebo light installed and a few other things placed here and there.

I so LOVE our Gazebo ... and I so would love a 4 Season Sun room someday in my Forever Home.

No guesses that I am tired, as is Rob since he got home at 2 am this morning.  He has headed off to bed with me not too long behind him, Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard.

Certified Weird

It has, I am certain, finally been proven I am totally "certified weird" now.  I am sure most will agree since I after Dinner this evening Rob took me up to the Wiarton Emergency Dept., AGAIN ....

Dr. Jack VanDorp was on call this evening.  I got in very quickly.  No fever, blood pressure is PERFECT, and my breast is fine.  Dr. was baffled and thought it weird, so yes I have now been certified.  Dr. has ordered x-rays of my check cavity tomorrow morning and more blood work.  I was in for blood work this morning, and will really feel tired should I keep giving it away for testing.

Of course my witty husband had said should we attach a nipple to the swelling I could have a third boob breast.  He can be such a boob pain himself some days.

Wednesday Rob had went to the Complete Wellness Inc., downtown Wiarton, to have a massage of his back.  Today I got in at 3 pm to have my back and neck done, as Dr. Haaland, the rheumatologist I had seen yesterday recommended I give it a try again.

Thanks to Becky Thomas, owner of the Complete Wellness, for getting me in an opening today, as Masseur, Carrie, did a terrific 30 minute massage on my back and neck ... very tense both had been.
Complete Wellness also provides other services, such as Chiropractic, Manis & Pedis, along with a complete line of natural health products and such.

More on the Complete  Wellness Inc.? please *click* with your mouse HERE.

Very early this morning I had been over to Owen Sound to drop off my friends clutch she had lent me for the wedding.

I could not help but stop to admire, and also tempted myself to nab a pot, of her beautiful Calla Lilies.  Unfortunately the ones she had given me last year did not make it back in the house in time and had froze.  Very *sad* for me indeed as I LOVED them !

I am exhausted, AGAIN, and didn't get one thing at home accomplished today, not even my bed MADE !!!  that is so not me.  I am hitting the shower then off to my bed as tomorrow there will be another big day ahead of me, this I can usually count on, Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard.

Future Results ?

I was up early again !  the kitchen and bathroom was tided, with a load of laundry also in, which Rob hung out and brought back in, as I had left at 9 am and returned about 7:30 pm..

I met up with my Girlfriend, Brenda, in Hepworth where she parked her vehicle at the Legion, and then we headed South down the road Barrie bound.  We left early so we could hit Costco before my appointment with the rheumatologist, Dr. Derek Haaland.

Both Brenda & I had to check out the outdoor chairs incase she had wanted to purchase one for her hubby.  Nope ... either of us thought they had been comfortable.

After time at Costco we headed back to where the Doctor's office was.  We still had about 1/2 hour or so before my 2:15 pm appointment, and headed across the street to a little restaurant called "Salt & Pepper".  We were delighted to see all very FRESH lunch choices of either hot or cold.

Brenda & I choose 1 hot items along with 2 cold items for a total of $7.75 plus taxes.  We had not been disappointed in our choices.  I would not hesitate to go back there for a lunch the next time I was down that way.

Off to the Doctor's we went where I filled out my life history before meeting with the Nurse, Ocean.  She was a very nice person, who took more information from me then checked the 18 pressure points for Fibromyalgia.  I tested 16 out of the 18 pts for having Fibro.  Was I surprised? no as I was 14 pts. a few years back.

Dr. Haaland did come in to see me.  He asked me some personal questions, and also stated to me, "not to let anyone tell me that the pain of Fibromyalgia was in my head, as it is not and is real pain caused by my nervous system.

Dr. Haaland ordered an MRI on both my neck & back, blood work for a special test to determine RA, and an ultrasound by my clavicle on some unusual swelling the Nurse noticed was there when testing for the tender points.   No further prescriptions have been ordered as I have tried most neurology drugs available for Fibro to date.  The Doctor also suspects I have had Fibro since my childhood (guess those "growing pains" weren't those at all, eh?)

A followup appointment has been made for September, unless of course something shows up in all the testing which I go through.  As the Nurse said, "no news is good news", however I am being positive there will be future results sooner then later.

Did I like Dr. Haaland? yes I did, very much so.  I found him to be very thorough and compassionate.  I look forward to my next appointment with him.

I am so happy Brenda went with me as had only been able to drive as far as the 400 from the Horseshoe Valley Road, then she took over from there.  By the time I had finished with my appointment I had been totally exhausted.  When we got back to Owen Sound I drove the rest of the way after we had first stopped for a bit of a shop at Sears.

Brenda and I have been friends since I have been 14 and her 15 years old.  Lost contact many times through the years, but reconnected also here and there.  We get along famously which I so enjoy.  I hate grey areas, and Brenda is a straight shooter and very black & white, thank goodness.

Other then being in slight discomfort now after some mediciations, and fatigued, I am quite happy to know another of my girlfriends are coming up this weekend.  I can't wait to get together with her !!!

That is all she wrote this day, Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard.

Technical Difficulties

I am not only tired, I have been having technical difficulties with my social media equipment aka laptop.  Maybe not as it could be the cause also of the operator being so tired?

Happy Happy 10th Birthday to our Granddaughter, Chloe today.  Since we were not going to see her today we had given her our gift this past Sunday before we left to come home.

We had gotten Chloe a book bag with an Apples to Apples Board game & a puzzle.  It was exactly what she had been hoping to get, the game that is, not the puzzle.  The puzzle will be probably be taken care of by the Master Puzzler, Aiden, and assistant, Briar.

Chloe also LOVES Dill Pickles, so when we had been out all together at Costco afterwards, Poppa Rob had bought her a huge jar.  She was one very happy 10 year old girl.

More on the Apples to Apples board game, should anyone be interested in purchasing for their children or grandchildren, can be found HERE.

How has Mercedes been doing the almost Year coming up since she has been the "top dog" with the family of blended seven?  We will let the photos tell all....

Yes there is LOTS of loving for Missy Mercedes from one or another at any given time.

I had been planning on blogging some photos of the "pre-wedding" however just not feeling too well this evening, as it has been one of those days.

It was Wiarton Wednesdays today in Wiarton.  Should you like to check it out this Summer, on a Wednesday of course, see the following savings provided by participating businesses:

Free Entertainment also in the Berford St. Parkette from 1 til 4 pm.  Bring along a lawn chair !

After having picked up the car from the garage where I had the summer tires and rims installed, I had to head into Owen Sound as my bluetooth had stopped working, and I needed a new one.  The Jabra Supreme's were on sale for about 1/2 the price.  For another $14.00 I got an unlimited guarantee on it.  It even covers replacement if the dog chews it up !  wish I would have had known about that guarantee 2 units before when Portia had chewed my 1st $99 head set (yes she is an expensive, high maintenance girl).

More on the Jabra Supreme Bluetooth HERE.

On the way back home from Owen Sound I was burning up the highway with my new car and its new tires.  The sunroof open with the wind blowing through and the sun blazing in the western skies got me back home safe and sound .....

.... Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard.

PS:  I had the most wonderful compliment from my hubby last night when he said, "you don't have to dress up to look good". Can I say, "I LOVE my husband"? I sure can ... thank you Rob (Wayne Robert Roth) , I do LOVE YOU.
