What was my "pot luck" dish to take along? my Cheesy Salsa Dip, which is my husband's and everyone else's favourite once they have had it ....
This "hot out of the oven" dip is a hit served anytime at home or as a take along.

On to the Potluck Party !!!
The Host and Hostess could not have been more gracious and accommodating with Special Thanks going out to "Recipe Exchange Members", my friend Toni with an "i" and her husband, Bob Vary.
Bring on the Food, did I hear you say? well there sure was no shortage of GOOD food ....
Potato Salad, Relish Tray, Devilled Eggs, & Cheesy Salsa Dip.
Chicken & Pasta, Marinated Carrot Salad, & Chili.
Desserts? what would a Potluck Dinner be without them? a pretty *sad* deal I would think.
2 Different kinds of Biscotti as "take home" party favours, Rhubarb Custard, Blueberry Crumble, Lemon Loaf & a Dream Cake.
Fun you say? really no fun at a Potluck Dinner?
NO WAY ! could there NOT be any fun with this gang all together .... and of course there are my "Road Trip" partners in Crime, Toni & Abby.
Of course every Potluck Party needs a Fearless Leader ....
Yes we are pretty certain our "Hot Dog" Lover, Bob Vary could pull off being the head of Cindy's Recipe Exchange's Hot Dog Department with his love of Hot Dogs ("Special Thanks" to Abby for making the Wiener Dog and to Donna for the Wiener Bits & Bites made up for Our Bob).
Members of Cindy's Recipe Exchange who all were able to meet up this day, some for the very first time meeting each other in person. Of course Mr. Bob Vary was trying his best to get to me but ....
... I was sure to get Bob back. From back to front, thanks to Abby, Donna, Sharon, Joanne, Kathy, Diane, Toni, Bob, Myself, and Debbie for making our first Potluck such a Wonderful Success !
Before we had our Potluck Dinner there had been a draw for 2 lucky Members of Cindy's Recipe Exchange to win a FREE Airplane Ride, courtesy of Dave & Dan, Owner/Operators of OSFS (Owen Sound Flight Services).
Our Pilot was the very Charming & Fun, Dave Kalistchuck, and two of the Exchange Winners were Donna & Debbie. There also happened to be a 3rd Winner and it had been ME !!!! Little old me that is scared of heights, who absolutely LOVED the whole experience !!! Thanks ever so much for this Life Experience, OSFS (& Toni & Bob as I know you were both the culprits behind the scenes making this happen for me, so thank you both too xx ) !
There is lots more photos of the flight the three of us had the good fortune to go one this day, however I will save those for tomorrow's post. In the meantime ....
Toni caught a couple of photos of me throughout the day .. first with Abby, then right after I had called "shotgun" before going up as I waited for the other 2 gals to get in the backseat. Riding Shotgun really was the BEST !
This photo is for my friend Toni with an "i" & her hubby Bob. This is a aerial shot of their home as well as showing Bob's very own Airplane Runway on their property.
I cannot express what a fantastic day I had with great friends, old and new, good food and lots of fun. I am already looking forward to the 2nd Annual Potluck Dinner for Cindy's Recipe Exchange in 2014. I am also proud to say Cindy's Recipe Exchange on Facebook now has 387 Exchange Members, most who are always there posting "tried, tested & true" recipes, along with giving advice to anyone who should need some direction in the cooking or baking department. Thanks to everyone there who makes the Exchange so great by being helpful and fun.
I was also happy a couple of the member's spouses were also able to come out for the Potluck. My Rob sure wouldn't miss up on an opportunity of all that good food for a second !
Stay tuned for more photos of the flight tomorrow. In the meantime I am wrapping this post up to put up my feet, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".
Wow, what a spread. So glad that all had a great time and you got an airplane ride to boot Cindy. I must get to be more active with this group and use some of the wonderful recipes, if I ever get to stay at home long enough to cook here. (or maybe I should be coming up with some recipes to use when using a boat galley)
