I had to get a dangle on since everyone had to be fed and cleaned, as I had to get showered and out the door by 11 am this morning.
The Everything 8 Starvin' Marvins.
After everyone was taken care of I hopped into the shower before I started to get myself ready to go out. I was meeting up with Southampton Girls who I had gone to Grade School with. Do you know how many times I changed my clothes? at least 6 times I am sure. Those clothes are still on the spare bed and need put back away. *sigh*
Finally I got myself half descent presentable. The miracle of loosing 20 pounds and ironing out 200 wrinkles never came before this day. I am thinking I best be giving up on that miracle and get onto a new one.... hmmm, rid myself of my child-bearing hips maybe? Ha ! regardless I was ready and out the door.
I was down in Southampton in record time with 15 minutes grace before the scheduled time of our 12 noon meet up time. I went into the Walkerhouse to see what they had set up in the way of tables for us. It was great as they had set up up in the old Coffee Dining Room. I loved that room when I had been growing up, as it always seemed so "elegant" way back then through my eyes. Many memories for me of the Walkerhouse, and many other girls growing up in Southampton. It is a landmark, this is for sure.

As my Cousin Julie had stated when she had texted me later, not only fun we had, but it was like none of us had "skipped a beat" with each other considering some of of hadn't seen each other for 43 years ! Can you imagine that????
Fourteen of us made it today. That was a pretty good turnout I had thought, as our first one there had been 7 of us. One friend had travelled from Grimsby and another from London. Those were the two travelling the farthest. Lunch was really good, or was the Taco Salad a couple of us had. We really enjoyed a full two hours of catching up and lots of laughs between us.
This being our 2nd Annual luncheon, I think a few of us, if not all of us who were there today, are looking forward to doing it again next June. I know I am.
My Son and the boys had been here today. Everything happens at once, do it not? The Billy Bishop Airport in Owen Sound, where my friend, Toni with an "i"'s hubby works, had FREE Airplane rides for children 8 years up to 18 years old today through the COPA for Kids Aviation Program.
The boys had a wonderful time and experience, as did everyone who got to go along this day, so my friend Toni had told me.
Later this afternoon when I had gotten back home, and they had returned from the flight. Then it was time they got to have some "puppy" time.
Aiden was all smiles holding this little sweetie, while you can barely see Connor in the other two photos, he had no problem double fisting puppies ! The little black and white guy below was the one he did not let go of the whole time they had been out. This little guy is the runt of the litter, and truly I have never seen such a layed back little guy as he is. He never squiggled to get away once. He is going to make someone a very happy Human family hopefully some day soon.
Thank goodness for slow cookers. Garlic Sausage had been cooking on LOW since I had left home in the morning. All I had to do was boil some potatoes and steam broccoli before serving up our Dinner. Nice and easy after a long enjoyable day.
Everyone has now all left. It is now back to somewhat "normal" being just myself, Bandit and the rest of my Aussie Gang, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".
