Phew ! Did Not Think ...

.... I was ever going to make it through this day all in one piece, but YES I conquered yet another !!!  I had another "bad" night's sleep seemingly feeling I never slept a wink all night.  Rob got up around 4 am to the washroom and asked what I was doing up.  There is no answer sometimes for not being able to sleep, is there?

I had all these big plans today, with only accomplishing 3 out of all.

When I got started on preparing to make the Fresh Peach Cake, I realized I had no Sour Cream.  That threw my morning off even more with an unexpected trip into town and back.  Off I went.

Back home I had the wet and dry all mixed for the cake ready when the phone rang.  It was our Wiarton Driver.  Would I go pick someone up as he was out of town on a run already.  I could not say "NO" to business now could I ??  Off I went.

I did manage to get back home to get the Peach Cake together and into the Oven.

Wet, met dry, then Fresh sliced Peaches was layered into the Batter, and topped with Cinnamon & Sugar.  50 minutes later there was a totally awesome Fresh Peach Cake cooling on my Counter Top.

For some reason I always put more of the batter on the bottom of the pan, then get it exactly half and half, but it mattered none.

Once the dishes and counter had been all cleaned up from the makings of the Cake, I got onto my next plan for today, Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Yes the combination of Peanut Butter, Oatmeal and Chocolate Chips are an all time "hit" in this household.

The last pan of cookies came out of the oven around 1 pm.  There was yet time for me to hit the shower then get ready for my third plan of the day.

Once ready our Wiarton driver, John, came around to collect me to drive me down to Southampton so I could go visit my Auntie Pearlina in the hospital with my Auntie Gladys.  Off I went.

My Auntie Pearlina is a real trooper.  I can not believe the stamina of this woman at 92 years of age, and never mind how wonderful her memory is !!!  She is easy to love, this is for sure.

Auntie Gladys and I had a real good visit with her for almost a good hour.  She had even been out of bed for a very very short walk today.  It was a good sign that nothing had been broken, which is a miracle in itself.  It was figured out she had been lying at home after her fall the night before all through the night, and thank goodness she had came too eventually and gotten somehow to the phone to dial 9-1-1.

Once our visit had came to an end, Auntie Gladys had dropped me over to Southampton's Tim Hortons Coffee shop where I met up with Rob so I could drive back home with him..  Home we came, both very tired souls to have ourselves a quick Dinner I made up of Potato & Egg Salad, and BBQ'd steak.

In remembrance of today being 9/11 a wonderful Tribute by the Budweiser Clydesdales:

Prayers for those families who lost their loved ones in 9/11.

This evening is the Grand Finale of the Master Chef, which I am not planning on missing out on.  Tomorrow will bring another day, and another day will bring more busyness to me again, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".
