Day 3: Grand Falls NB; Quebec & Ontario !

The Hilltop Motel in Grand Falls, NB was a 5 Star stay I would someday hope I could return for a repeat in the future as our stay there was a very memorable one.  All three of us being Toni, Kathy and I all agreed on this point.  We have been having a "blast" !!!

After we awoke, got ourselves ready for the day ahead we drove down half a block from where the motel is located to .....

The awe of Grand Falls Gorge.

See that little power switch on the bottom right hand photo? this was how I suspected how you would shut-off the water maybe???

These photos were taken in front of where the Gorge is located.  Caught Toni taking a photo of this cool looking recycle container.

Grand Falls, NB is a very quaint and interesting place that is a "must" stopover.

Lots of driving from New Brunswick and across Quebec today.  We had a breakfast break at one of the many rest stops you find on the Trans Canada Hwy. going through Quebec.  Yes we finally made it to Ontario after approximately 7 hours, longer then normal with our stops and fooling around all the while.

Just into Ontario we had a really cool pit stop where Toni grew up on the outskirts of the Village of Lancaster.  It was too weird that when we got talking to the owners of the little Antique Shop we stopped in at, where Toni bought a cool Oil Lamp, that the owner's husband's family was originally from Tara Ontario !!! and his Uncle lives in Wiarton !!!  Really? what were the odds of that?  I am sure one in a Million !!!

After a more then pleasant time spent in Lancaster, we made off to Kingston to find a place to stay over for the night before the last miles for us to get home ... at least 6 to 8 hours, depending on how many stops we make on the way.

Once we arrived in Kingston, we stopped at Fort Henry.  Another fantastic experience for me.

The Fort's Mascot right inside the door of the information building.  The sights were wonderful with so much to take in all at once.

We have found a Motel room for the evening.  I am tired, but enjoying myself immensely of an experience I am truly grateful to be having.  I really miss Rob, but am happy we speak to each other every day.

Tomorrow night I will be back home with my husband, our Aussies and in my own bed, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".
