Whoohooo ....They Are HERE !!!!

Out the door heading South by 9 am this morning with my travelling companion, as we were on a mission to pickup and collect  ....

.... our Grandboys, Aiden and Connor, making Bandit and "moi" two happy campers.  We had left Poppa at home sleeping, but figured he would be having happy dreams left right where he was.

We did make it back home here North of Wiarton around 1 pm.  The boys headed on out to the barn to get their bikes while I took care of our Aussies needs.  The rest of the afternoon while the boys played I had to get some "Crabby Cabbie" paperwork done.  My step-daughter, Sarah, had arrived at the door also today.  They are cottaging minutes away from us and we have made arrangements to all get together tomorrow.  Another fun packed day ahead of us I am sure.

Later this afternoon out the door heading South for the second time today ....

This time it was Rob, the boys and myself, as we had been invited to my Auntie Gladys and Uncle Basil's place in Port Elgin to dine with them along with my Cousin Brad and his wife, Paula.

What a "spread" my Auntie puts on.  The boys were very impressed with the ham, potato & egg salad, broccoli salad, jellied carrot salad, relish tray, devilled eggs, sliced ham and crusty bread by the look on their faces.  Connor eventually had a chocolate face from chocolate pudding as he really hadn't cared for the yummy Lemon Curd Angel Food Cake that was for dessert.

After an awesome meal and coffee we gathered on the back deck to listen to Uncle Basil recite some of his "stories".  Brad and Paula listened intently while Auntie had the look of "I have heard this 1 million times already" on her face.  Gotta love my Uncle Basil.

Aiden and Connor had lots of fun in the backyard with badminton nets and birdies which kept them amused for quite some time.

Aiden had love Auntie's Potato Egg Salad so much, when she had asked Paula would she like some to take home with her, he also asked if he could have a "to go" for himself too.  That boy loves his salads as much as Connor loves meat.

We never arrived home until close to 9 pm.  Can I say, "tired"? I most certainly can but .... whooohooo they are here, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".
