Two Years Ago Today It Was !

I can not believe it was two years ago today I began Blogging and made my first post.  As the saying goes, "YOU HAVE COME A LONG WAY BABY" !!!  When I look back on some of my first posts (and maybe some of my more recent ones too) I can't believe how I began and where I am now within the World of Blogging.

What first began as somewhere for me to express myself, has resulted in something much larger then just that.

Blogging has given me both commitment, as well as the feeling of accomplishment.  A routine no matter how Topsy Turvy my life can seem at any given moment.

New friends I have made along the way in person, even though some have not been met in person I still feel a bond and closeness that probably could not be understood by some.  I have had a whole World opened up to me through the eyes of other bloggers or people I have blogged about.

Truly this experience has had many rewards I have been most fortunate to be recipient of.  Thank you to each and every person who has and still supports me in my Journey of Life, sometimes opinions, and most time ramblings here "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".  I do LOVE you all for being with me throughout it all.

One of my more memorable posts in these past two years, although there are many, was when Rob and I went on the Kemble Maple Syrup Festival Tour together.  Not only memorable in what a fantastic day we had together, but also memorable on how much work I put into that post.  It is one I am extremely proud of with the hours I had put into it, along with all its photos.

Since Spring is almost here with another upcoming Kemble Maple Syrup Festival I am sure, I thought I would share the one I had posted about last year HERE.  I hope it is enjoyed by others as much as Rob and I had enjoyed ourselves being there in person.

Truly blogging can be extremely time consuming, most evenings taking me anywhere from 1 to 2 hours, sometimes more (the sometimes more can "sometimes" be accounted for by Aussie interruptions too, or a husband in the midst).

Not to disappoint anyone after such excitement of my new Whirlpool Oven Range arriving yesterday, but with such a busy week and lack of sleep the "perfect" dinner was not prepared in it last night.

However with Rob not arriving home until well after 7 pm, there had still been a Dinner for us by 8 pm.

"Rob was in his glory as he got French Fries, something we seldom ever have, and I was happy as the Chicken Fingers were all white meat.  Not a Grand first meal cooked in the new oven, but still one that was evenly cooked to perfection and enjoyed by both of us just the same."

My day began by being awake since 3 am with no luxury of resting anytime later this day.

"First thing this morning Lexus kept herself amused most of the time, while I .... "

"....had been otherwise occupied with "Breakfast Detail"."

The little muggins start as soon as they seen me already vying for my attention, each getting picked up, cuddled and kisses.  I LOVE Puppy Breathe .... don't YOU ????

There was nothing here cooked up or baked up this day, as I had been called out of town on a matter needing attending to.  It has been a very long day, especially with barely enough sleep this past week.

Tomorrow morning I am seemingly tied up again, but honestly I am dying to bake something in that new oven as soon as possible.  We will see how I am feeling tomorrow afternoon if other things don't crop up instead, since we all know how Life sometimes throws those "curve balls" at us.

Oh my, where are my manners !  I would love to welcome my newest followers who have joined me here for my daily journey thru Life, as well as the ramblings and sometimes one, or two opinions I might have from time to time.

It is almost 8 pm with the "gang" still needing out, about and in still one more time before we call it a night, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".

  6. Happy Blogaversary Cindy!

New stove looks sweet! Not sure if you can do this with it, but I lined the bottom of mine with aluminum foil for easier cleanup.

Looking forward to see what treats you bake first!

    1. Jean, I was wondering the same thing with this stove. Maybe I will call Whirlpool to check, as I did with all my other stoves. I used to always leave the racks in them when I self-cleaned too, do you also do that?

  8. I found your blog about a year ago and enjoy it every single day.

Please be careful about lining the bottom of your oven with foil. A friend of mine did it and ended up having to replace the bottom of the oven; something to do with the element being hidden and the heat she was using to cook a frozen pizza. I put a piece of foil on the bottom rack making sure I leave enough space around the edges for the air to circulate.

Did you cook your fries and chicken on the convection cycle?

  9. Craftmate Virna introduced me to your blog because I was moving to a less urban area last year. But now, like my reality shows or soaps, I cannot help but be tuned in to every episode as much as I can he he he ...But seriously, more than anything, I'm glad to have met you. You are a wonderful person and it shows through your writing (not to mention, having met you in person). Here's to lots of years of blogging!

  11. Isn't blogging amazing. I never thought I'd find enough stuff to write about but I manage to post most days.

Oh the puppies are so adorable. We want to get Ella a dog, but we likely can't afford one of yours :) How much brushing do they need? We're looking for a farm dog but a good companion too.
