Down A Quart Or Two

My energy level has taken a beating as I have been down a quart, or maybe two the last couple of days.

No mojo means no gogo .... lacking energy sure puts me in a "blue" mood.  Blue being one of my favourite colours, one would think it would bring me up?  alas no, no effect whatsoever ...

I did manage to drag myself to get another load of bedding washed and out on the clothes line, even though we had another day of the weather "sitting on the fence" it was all good.

"With the wonderful breeze it was dry in no time."

Rob and I also had a couple of errands to run downtown Wiarton.  By the time we got home it was already 11:00am, and time to think about putting some dinner together before Rob had to put his "Crabby Cabbie" hat on to leave for the day.

"Since we seem to have an abundance of Zucchini in our garden, I took advantage by making these Tomato and Cheese Stuffed Zucchini again today."

"Rob grilled them to perfection to go along with ... "

"The Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore I had put together."

"Rob had gone out to retrieve our mail to find there was a recall on our 2004 Ford Freestar Van."

It is great and wonderful Ford, or any company for that matter, directs you to one of their local repair shops to have a recall "fixed", however what doesn't get taken in consideration is our time or the cost to us to take it in to have their "Mistake" fixed.  Rob is pretty flexible since he can take it in throughout a morning, but what about some people who have a work schedule to go around?  ...and then if the repair shop isn't in the same local as where you live, nobody gets reimbursed for their gas getting to and back from have the said "mistake" fixed.  I suppose we are to be "grateful" someone, or a whole bunch of people, has noticed there was a problem, and the problem was recalled back to be fixed?

That was all the energy I could muster up for that mini rant ... sigh.

What did I do after lunch was cleaned up?  I took the bedding from the clothes line, had the Aussies in, out and about for a bit, said goodbye to my "Crabby Cabbie", layed on the couch, shut my eyes and drifted off for what I am certain had to be at least an hour or so .... oh man, I hate being in a "funk".

How to get out of a "funk" ... please refer to the above chart I had come across earlier today on Facebook.  How did I use this chart to my benefit?

1)  I spoke on the phone to both my sisters today;
2)  I know I am loved by my family, or hopefully loved by most all of them;
3)  I got to speak to a couple of my acquaintances/friends downtown today who made me laugh and smile;
4)  I have me some good memories of Aiden and Connor's visit with us this Summer;
5)  I am pretty sure it was a "hug" Lexus attempted to give me when she almost knocked me over earlier today;
6)  I received a kiss from my hubby before he left for work, and;
7)  I had a bit of sleep this afternoon.

With all this "FREE" stuff I received just today, you would think my "funk" would be gone, wouldn't you????

If you haven't participated yet in my Very Very First Giveaway, please do so HERE !

I think I will go try some doggie kisses, before I call it an early night by trying to get some more sleep to take my "funk" away, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".

  2. Hello North of the Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard. Just dropped in to say thanks for dropping in to Lady Mondegreen's Secret Garden. It always nice to have new visitors. I love the look of those stuffed zucchini. I've never done this with them before but I have just bought a bag-full from the supermarket cheapy basket. Ate some sliced and steamed with cream cheese last night but will give this a go too. Yum.
