Hay, Hay Hay The King Of The Castle Lives On !

"Began another beautiful day with the early morning Sun streaking across the fields."

I was to go out to the Keady Farmer's Market this morning with my Niece, Jo-Anne, and her visiting girlfriend, Lynn, but I had made a previous commitment with my Cousin, Suzanne.

We had planned over two weeks ago to meet over at Sauble Beach, as the Twp. of South Bruce Peninsula was hosting an Introduction of Tai Chi to the community for six weeks I believe.  Today was the fourth session, or so it was also my understanding.

"The Sauble Beach Community Centre hosts lots of activities and events in the community.  There is something always going on here."

Other then being totally out of sync with my body feeling not too coordinated, or so it felt like to me, other then my Cousin telling me how "graceful" I looked .... HA !  I really seemed to enjoy the "flow" of movement and energy.

"After the 1 hour session was over, Suz was taking in some of the literature.

From the literature here is an excerpt from Dr. Bruce McFarlane, a physician from Collingwood, Ont., who is medical advisor to the International Taoist Tai Chi Society.

"It helps regulate the immune system, lessens spinal degeneration and has been shown to improve the lives of people living with rheumatoid arthritis, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and diabetes, to name a few conditions".

Tai Chi is know Worldwide .... you may find Classes for Everyone ... In OVER 25 Countries at the following web link, as well as MORE information:

I am planning on attending the next two weekly sessions, and see where it takes me from there.

Once back home, I got a few chores done up before Rob and I headed on down to the Saugeen Shores Township offices, as we had some more "Crabby Cabbie" business needing attended to .... since it was an awesome weather day we took the motorcycle.

Once done with our business, the motorbike didn't want to start ... I really thought my days of "pushing" to jump start a vehicle were long gone and over with, apparently not so !  We got it going to then made it over to my Cousins house ....

"Here is Ross and Rob trying to figure it all out.  We had just purchased a new battery two weeks ago, so this was not the problem.  Then Rob got thinking the alternator.  They investigated the wiring to the trailer hookup, where Ross thought a couple of the wires were touching.  Rob disassembled the wires, we had it boosted and were on our way."

"We headed on over Tara way to drop in on my Niece at her place."

"Man oh man, she had her friend, Lynn, working at those gardens.  What a transformation from overgrown with weeds to actually seeing flowers and plants !  Nice job, Lynn."

When it was time to leave for home, I am pleased to say our Motorcycle started without a problem, *sigh*, so the culprit had been the wiring after all .... "hooray" !  as it would have been parked had it been the alternator.

We arrived home to find the chap who was purchasing our hay had been around ....

"I LOVE this sight in our fields."

Then the fun began ....

"Who else is the King of the "Checkerboard Aussies" other then our one and only, Bandit boy."

"The Lexus girl had been released and the games began."

"With the end result being Bandit left undefeated !"

I love this part of Hay season.  We have so much fun watching our "Checkerboard Aussies" have fun going up one bale and down the other, then chasing each other round, round and round.  They usually sleep really well at night after one of these huge romps around and on top of the Hay bales.

The other day when I had been at Walmart to get some Lithium Batteries for my camera, the girl working there had suggested I try the Energizer Max batteries out at a fraction of the cost.

"For less then $10.00 these apparently last up to 3 months, opposed to $15.00 for Lithium batteries.  I am going to give it a whirl to see how it works out for me."

It is earlier then usual for me to be posting, thank goodness, as I am going to get some Supper going for Rob and I here soon, "Just North of Wiarton & South of the Checkerboard".

  1. Hi Cindy,

I've taken up Tai Chi before with the Taoist Tai Chi Society - I loved it!!! I'm thinking of taking it up again this summer as I haven't practiced in a long time.

    I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  3. Your dogs look like they are at Disneyland!!! The best batteries I have found are rechargable ones that we now use. they seem to last forever and can be recharged with a solar charger, pretty cool
